When a Yuppie was just four months old, I found out that his sire Max had Lymphoma. Since he had his dad’s looks it was hard to place Yuppie in another home, knowing that one day, Max would no longer be with us. Yuppie was a fun dog and continued to have a “puppy” outlook in many things throughout his lifetime.
Yuppie’s show carrier started when he was just 1 week short of being 6 months old. He was entered in a puppy match where he not only won Best of Breed, but he also went on to win a Group 1 placement!
All of Yuppie’s wins were from the Bred by Exhibitor Class which qualified him for entry to the 2006 and 2007 Eukanuba Invitational – following in his sire’s footsteps. He was shown on a limited basis after completing his AKC Championship.
In October 2008, We placed Yuppie with a couple that live Seaside, CA where he was an only dog and received individual attention. He really enjoyed receiving all the attention. He was able to go to work on occasion with Kay and will play on the beach and went camping. Kay did some obedience training with him as well. Sadly, Kay needed to return Yuppie to us in 2010 because of health reasons. He lived with us until May 2018 when we had to let him go due to health reasons.
